GREENVILLE, S.C. – Manhole surveying will prompt temporary overnight lane closures in Greenville County from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. beginning Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict, dba MetroConnects, said crews will begin surveying on White Horse Road and expand to surrounding areas over the following weeks.
The project is expected to last 2-3 weeks, during which over 500 manholes will be inspected. In addition to White Horse Road, the following roads will be affected in coming weeks:
Wade Hampton Blvd, S. Washington Ave/W. Faris Rd, N. Washington Ave, Anderson Rd, Poinsett Hwy/Rutherford St, Howell Rd, W. Parker Rd, Cedar Lane Rd, Rutherford Rd, E. & W. Blue Ridge Dr, N. Pleasantburg Dr, State Park Rd, Woodside Ave, and Grove Rd.
Signage will be in place to help motorists move safely in and around the area. Drivers are encouraged to be alert, be patient, and slow down while in the work zone.
