October 16, 2025

MetroConnects congratulates Isuzu North American Corporation, a global leader in commercial vehicles, on the groundbreaking of its newest production plant.

MetroConnects will serve as the wastewater collection provider for Isuzu’s motor vehicle production plant, located at 7755 Augusta Road, Piedmont, on a 140-acre parcel within the South Greenville Enterprise Park, adjacent to Highway 25.

Over the past several years, MetroConnects has invested $3.5M in wastewater infrastructure to serve the South Greenville Enterprise Park, now home to Isuzu.

The work, which was completed in two phases, included the construction of the Carr Road Pump Station, force main and gravity sewer lines, which serve the parcels purchased by Isuzu. The second phase included the construction of the South Greenville Enterprise Park Pump Station, force main and gravity sewer to serve Vermeer Headquarters, as well as two additional properties purchased by Isuzu. MetroConnects also received $500,000 in funding from the Greenville Area Development Corporation.

“MetroConnects is proud to support Isuzu North American Corporation and remain focused on ensuring the project’s success,” said Carol Elliott, general manager of MetroConnects. “We value the opportunity to work closely with Greenville County, the Greenville Area Development Corporation and companies, like Isuzu, who are creating opportunity and prosperity for our region.”

The Isuzu plant is expected to create about 800 jobs in the Upstate, according to local reports.
